Friday, May 24th, 2013Elizabethtown Fair Committee Attends State Fair Convention
Friday, February 1st, 2013Officers and Directors of the Elizabethtown Fair Committee attended workshops and seminars at the State Convention of the Pennsylvania State Association of County Fairs (PSACF) January 23, 24, 25, and 26, 2013 at the Hershey Lodge & Convention Center. The State Association is comprised of 104 Fairs across the State. Jacqueline Foulke, 2012 Elizabethtown Fair Queen, represented the Elizabethtown Fair in the State Fair Queen Competition held Thursday, Friday and Saturday of the Convention.
All fairs were encouraged to participate in the Communications Competition, which was also part of the four day activities. The competition included categories for Fair Premium Book, Fair Premium Tabloid, Non-Premium Tabloid, Web Site, Video Tape, Fair Display, Scrapbook, Scrapbook Cover, Brochure, Placemat, Creative Fair Idea and Promotional and Advertising Campaign.
At the Communications Breakfast it was announced that The Elizabethtown Fair placed first for the Fair Display, first for Placemat, second for their Video Tape and Creative Fair Idea, and third for Premium Book. The Elizabethtown Fair also received a ribbon and silver bowl for placing as Best of Show in the competition!
